LONDON, Nov 14 — Sainsbury’s and the Royal British Legion has produced a a heart-warming Christmas advert fitting for the 100th anniversary of the start of World War One.
The video centres on the Christmas truce of 1914, where British and German soldiers stop shooting to have a short Christmas celebration. Soldiers from both sides played football together before venturing into No Man’s Land to greet one another and exchange gifts.
The profits from the chocolate bar featured in the advertisement will be donated to Royal British Legion.
