MELBOURNE, Feb 5 — Heston Blumenthal has opened the doors to the Australian outpost of his triple Michelin-starred restaurant The Fat Duck.
As his flagship restaurant in Bray, England undergoes a major renovation for its 20th anniversary, Blumenthal has uprooted his entire staff and set up in the Crown Towers in Melbourne for six months.
The Aussie version of The Fat Duck will also include original design pieces from the restaurant. To score a seat at the dining table, guests tried their luck in an online ballot system which is now closed.
The restaurant closes August 15.
