TOKYO, Feb 8 — In honour of the 30th anniversary of the VMax, Yamaha has presented the Carbon, the first of a number of special editions to be released throughout 2015.

Named for the carbon fiber used in tank cover, front and rear fenders and side covers, the VMax Carbon special edition also features high-performance exhausts by Akrapovic.

The other features are identical to those of the standard edition and include a 1,679cc V4 engine with 106hp.

The VMax Carbon is due to ship this month. In Europe, the special edition costs €22,999 (RM92,128), compared to €19,999 for the standard VMax in Matte Grey.

Over the course of the year, the Japanese manufacturer is expected to introduce several new Yard Built editions developed by specialists such as German tuner Jens vom Brauck. — AFP-RelaxnewsThe 2015 Yamaha VMax Carbon special edition is slated to ship later this month. — AFP pic
