SAN FRANCISCO, Nov 12 — After almost a week of delays, Acer has now opened up pre-orders for its Predator 8 gaming tablet on Newegg and Acer.

Predator 8 is Acer’s first gaming tablet, revealed in September at IFA. The Lollipop-running Android device has an 8-inch 1920 x 1200 resolution display, four-way surround sound speakers (that Acer calls “Predator Quadio”), 2GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable internal storage, TacSense technology and a 4,550 mAh battery.

The sci-fi inspired design, with its beveled edges and front-facing red speakers, sets it apart from other tablets on the market, specifically targeting gamers rather than a larger audience.

The Predator 8 is available for preorder on Newegg and the Acer store at US$299.99 (RM1,315).  — AFP-Relaxnews
