LOS ANGELES, Jan 5 — Two of ABC’s Thursday night dramas are receiving crossover storylines this season, Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder, with the lead actresses Kerry Washington and Viola Davis teasing the swap on social media.

Confirmed by the series’ creator Shonda Rhimes, crime drama How to Get Away with Murder and political thriller Scandal will be treated to crossover episodes this season.

Kerry Washington (Scandal) and Viola Davis (Murder) posted pictures of themselves in the other show’s set, tagging each other in the Twitter posts.

Shonda Rhimes posted up a script excerpt to confirm that Davis’s criminal defence attorney, Annalise Keating, and Washington’s crisis consultant, Olivia Pope, would meet.

Scandal is in its seventh and final season, while Murder is in its fourth.

Both are to recommence on January 18, 2018 after a mid-season break began mid-November; ABC has not yet communicated the dates of the crossover episodes.

Washington will be at the January 7 Golden Globes as one of its award presenters.  Davis, who won a Globe (and an Oscar) for 2016 feature film drama Fences, is to co-star in November 2018 crime thriller movie Widows. — AFP-Relaxnews
