LOS ANGELES, June 30 — Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody has found its drummer, with British actor Ben Hardy from X-Men: Apocalypse to play Queen skinsman Roger Taylor, according to a report.

From British daytime television drama EastEnders to big-screen superhero movie X-Men: Apocalypse, Ben Hardy is to join the Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody.

Produced by guitarist Brian May and Roger Taylor himself, X-Men director Bryan Singer is currently installed in the same role for Bohemian Rhapsody.

Hardy will take drumming lessons in order to get up to speed for the role, according to a report carried by UK’s Metro.

Rami Malek of Mr Robot has already been cast as Freddie Mercury, the superstar British rock singer who was born in East Africa’s Zanzibar (now Tanzania) to Indian parents.

Sacha Baron Cohen of Borat and Alice Through the Looking Glass, and subsequently Ben Whishaw of James Bond films Skyfall and Spectre, had previously been announced as Mercury, with Dexter Fletcher of Sunshine on Leith and Eddie the Eagle at one time attached to direct. — AFP-Relaxnews
