LOS ANGELES, March 17 — When there’s Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart in a movie together, you know you’re going to be in for a hilarious ride and Central Intelligence promises just that.
Johnson plays Bob, a former overweight nerd who was bullied in high school but has now turned into a hulky and deadly CIA operative. One of the few people to show him kindness back in school was king of the campus Calvin (Hart) who is now a mild-mannered accountant.
When Bob is framed for a crime he didn’t commit, he recruits Calvin to help him clear his name and stop a plot to sell military secrets.
The official synopsis of the movie reads: “The story follows a one-time bullied geek who grew up to be a lethal CIA agent (Johnson), coming home for his high school reunion. Claiming to be on a top-secret case, he enlists the help of the former “big man on campus” (Hart), now an accountant who misses his glory days. But before the staid numbers-cruncher realises what he’s getting into, it’s too late to get out, as his increasingly unpredictable new friend drags him through a world of shoot-outs, double-crosses and espionage that could get them both killed in more ways than he can count.”
Central Intelligence is set to hit theatres on June 17.
