LOS ANGELES, Sept 3 — American filmmaker Catherine Hardwicke is back with an erotic thriller set to an electronic rock soundtrack.
The red band trailer for “Plush,” released through Yahoo!Movies, presents visual and musical contrasts that create an intense, troubling and sultry atmosphere. Australian actress Emily Browning plays a young rock star whose career has taken a nosedive. She recovers hope when a new guitarist joins her band, but she quickly discovers his dark side and realizes that he is a danger to her and her loved ones.
The feature film marks Catherine Hardwicke’s return to realism following two fantasy films, “Twilight” (2008) and “Red Riding Hood” (2011). She was reunited on the set of “Plush” with two “Twilight” cast members, Cam Gigandet and Xavier Samuel.
“Plush” will be released in North American cinemas on September 13 and in video-on-demand services on October 15. – AFP/Relaxnews
