KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 3 — Maxis CEO, Morten Lundal will be leaving the company after almost 5 years on the job. He joined Maxis in 2013 and had played a major role in transforming Maxis into what it is today. He will be leaving Maxis on 31 March 2018.

Prior to joining Maxis, Morten was the Group CCO at Vodafone on the group level and before that, he held the role of regional CEO in Central Europe and Africa. The Norwegian was also the CEO of Digi from 2004 to 2008.

Based on the recent quarterly report, Maxis had reported an operating profit of RM1.2 billion and profit after tax of RM562 million for Q3 2017. These are the highest recorded numbers for Maxis in more than 5 years. At the moment, Maxis has 10.1 million subscribers, while their 4G LTE network covers 89per cent of the population. — SoyaCincau

Maxis CEO will be leaving upon contract expiry

Maxis Berhad announced today that Morten Lundal, CEO of Maxis Berhad will be leaving the Company upon the expiry of his contract on 31 March 2018. The Board will announce his successor in due course. The Board wishes to thank Morten for his valuable contributions and services to the Company. The Company’s announcement to Bursa Securities dated 3 November 2017 refers.
