JOHOR BAHRU, Oct 14 — The newborn son of the Tunku Mahkota of Johor Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim and heir to the Johor throne has been named Tunku Iskandar Abdul Jalil Abu Bakar Ibrahim Ibni Tunku Ismail.

The Johor Council of Royal Court president, Datuk Abdul Rahim Ramli said the second child of Tunku Ismail was given the name with the consent of the Sultan of Johor and the Johor Council of Royal Court.

“The Johor Council of Royal Court is pleased to announce that His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, the Sultan and Sovereign Ruler of the State and Territory of Johor Darul Ta’zim, and the Johor Council of Royal Court have named the son and heir to Duli Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Mahkota Johor as follows: Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Iskandar Abdul Jalil Abu Bakar Ibrahim Ibni Tunku Ismail,” he said in a statement here today.

Tunku Ismail and his consort Che’ Puan Khaleeda Bustamam, married in 2014, and the royal couple has been blessed with a baby girl, Tunku Khalsom Aminah Sofiah, on June 25 last year. — Bernama
