MACHANG, June 10 — The Cluster New Planting Scheme (RTBB) of Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority (Risda) urged 1,423 beneficiaries to claim their part of the RM200 million of unclaimed dividend that has been accumulated since 1974.

Rural and Regional Development (KKLW) Deputy Minister Datuk Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub said the beneficiaries, especially heirs of RTBB participants, were eligible to claim the dividend even if their parents had passed on.

“Risda had previously been trying to contact beneficiaries through various means, including letters and advertisements in the press, but it still does not yield much result. We do not want to keep the dividend any longer and want to return it to the rightful beneficiaries,” he told reporters at the presentation of RTBB RISDA dividend for Kelantan state level at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bandar Machang here, today.

Risda’s Deputy Director-General (Development) Nasarudin Malek also attended the event that witnessed a total of 662 rubber smallholders receiving RTBB dividend involving a sum of RM1.4 million. — Bernama
