JOHOR BARU, Aug 19 ― A Marine Operations Force (MOF) personnel who was reportedly missing two days ago around Batu Pahat, near here, was found in a state of bewilderment in an area in Sungai Rambai, Malacca.
Batu Pahat Police Chief ACP Abdul Wahib Musa said Rahim @ Norizam Darisun, 47, was found at noon yesterday in his car at the Sungai Rambai Rest and Service Area (RSA) after the police tracked his phone signal.
“The victim had claimed to have given a ride to a lady with her baby while on his way back from Hospital Putra Batu Pahat.
“Upon leaving the car, he claimed that the lady had paid him some money, which turned out to be just leaves after a while,” he said in a statement, here, today.
Abdul Wahib said Rahim was believed to be missing after he did not turn up at his office nor his house, in Muar, after sending his wife to the hospital around 6.30am.
“A team from Muar MOF had been looking for him but failed. His mobile phone was also unreacheable,” he said adding that the victim however was found safe without any injuries.
