LUMUT, Jan 18 — Five Vietnamese women believed to have been working illegally as guest relations officers were among six people arrested today in two raids in Sitiawan near here by Immigration officers.

Two of the women and a Vietnamese man were held at 10.10am in the first raid, on a house in Taman Mas Suria, said Lumut Immigration chief Zainudin Zainol.

The three other women were picked up in the second raid, at 10.50am, on a house in Taman Permai 2, he said.

The foreigners did not have valid travel documents or had used false immigration stamps on their papers, he said.

Zainudin said those arrested, aged between 20 and 30, would be sent to the Langkap Immigration Detention Depot. — Bernama
