SUNGAI PETANI, Dec 16 — Chicken feet were scattered on the North-South Highway road this morning after a lorry laden with chicken feet was involved in an 11-vehicle crash at KM92.4 of the highway.

Kuala Muda district police chief ACP Md Zukir Md Isa said the incident which occurred at 6.30am involved four lorries, six cars and one motorcyle.

However he said no death was reported with three victims sustaining only minor injuries in the mishap.

“The incident occurred after the lorry driver of the lorry lost control of his vehicle when trying to overtake another vehicle, which then skidded and rammed into the rear of another lorry.

“The crash then caused the chicken feet container to fall and scatter on the road, causing some other vehicles emerging from behind to hit the lorry,” he told Bernama when contacted.

At the same time Md Zukir said, a car in its bid to avoid hitting the scattered chicken feet, also hit another lorry which had stopped behind the chicken feet-laden lorry.

He said the case was being investigated under Section 43 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. — Bernama
