KLANG, March 12 — A man leapt to his death from the second floor of a shopping mall in Bukit Tinggi here yesterday.

South Klang District police chief ACP Kamarul Zaman Mamat said the victim, Mohd Nadahar Mansor, 27, died at the scene after sustaining severe injuries to the head and parts of his body.

"The victim and his younger sister went to the shopping complex around 8pm to buy clothes.

"After buying the clothes, he was reported to have invited his sister to the second floor before climbing the fence and jumping down," he told reporters, here today.

Kamarul Zaman said initial investigation revealed the victim had been suffering from mental illness for the past three years.

The body was sent to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital for post-mortem and the case had been classified as sudden death, he said. — Bernama
