JOHOR BAHARU, Oct 5 — Johor hopes the federal government will give attention to house ownership by the people in the country in the 2015 Budget that will be tabled by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak this Oct 10.
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said such an initiative was important following the current high living cost that gave the people a lot of stress.
“We hope the federal government could find a solution that made it easy for the people to own houses, especially affordable ones by increasing facilities for loan application,” he told reporters after opening the Permas Jaya Deepavali Bazaar 2014 here last night.
He also hoped that the government could ensure the income that the people could use could be increased through tax cuts or increased number of BR1M as the government had reduced fuel subsidies.
Meanwhile the bazaar that is organised by the Marana Sagaya Nithi from Oct 1-21 in conjunction with the coming Deepavali celebration, is to raise funds for carrying out activities for poor Indians in Johor. — Bernama
