PETALING JAYA, Sept 13 — Three people, including a beautician from Sarawak, are facing the gallows after they were charged for trafficking in drugs today.

Beautician Patricia Everlyn George, 25, unemployed Ho Choo Seng, 45, and masseur Faridah Syafini Saleh, 32, are accused of trafficking in 256.5kg of syabu at a house in Jalan PJU 1A/23D, Ara Damansara here at 7pm on Sept 2.

They were charged under Section 39B (1) (a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and punishable under Section 39B of the same Act, read together with Section 34 of the Penal Code, which carries the mandatory death sentence upon conviction.

No plea was recorded.

Magistrate Ahmad Solihin Abd Wahid fixed October 22 for mention.

Patricia Everlyn was represented by counsel Datuk Suraj Singh while Ho and Faridah Syafini were not represented.
