PARIS, Jan 31 — French brand The Kooples has joined forces with animal rights organisation Peta to create a fake fur and leather clutch bag, which it revealed on Instagram.

The announcement of this partnership comes over a year after The Kooples committed to stop using real fur in September 2016 following a discussion with Peta members.

The French brand, which now ensures that it only uses fake fur in its designs, revealed it has been working with Peta to create a leopard-print fake leather clutch bag. It’s priced at US$65 (RM254). Proceeds from the sale will go to Peta.

Growing numbers of luxury and high street fashion brands are opting to drop real fur. Those which have already gone fur-free include Michael Kors, Hugo Boss, Giorgio Armani and Gucci. — AFP-Relaxnews
