MILAN, Oct 20 — Luxury label Moncler has opened its largest flagship store in the world in Milan, Italy, reports Women’s Wear Daily (WWD), Thursday, October 19. The store is located on the city’s Via Monte Napoleone, known for its many fashion and jewellery boutiques. Customers can shop the brand’s various collections on four floors.

With stores already in Paris, London and New York, Moncler has chosen to raise its profile in the fourth fashion capital, Milan, with the opening of its largest flagship store worldwide. This new four-floor boutique is located on the prestigious Via Monte Napoleone.

Moncler has, in fact, been at this location in the Italian city since 2013. In reality, the brand has expanded its store with two additional floors. The flagship now fills an entire building, with a total surface area of more than 800 sq m, including more than 550 sq m of selling space.

For this flagship store, the luxury label sought a singular decor, channeling the brand’s emblematic codes with details directly inspired by the culture and art of Milan. Moncler worked with architects Gilles & Boissier, who used themes of symmetry and geometric references from the classicism of the 1930s and 1940s, reports WWD.

Women’s collections are on the first floor, with menswear collections on the second floor. The boutique is also home to the label’s Gamme Rouge (Giambattista Valli) and Gamme Bleu (Thom Browne) collections, as well as shoes, leather goods and accessories. — AFP-Relaxnews
