NEW YORK, Nov 14 — In an informal study of the most popular travel and leisure-related emoji on Twitter, Wisconsin has emerged as the top wine-drinking state while Connecticut, it seems, loves its cocktails.

Because after looking at a random sample of 581,000 geo-located tweets, the wine glass emoji was the most popular in Wisconsin, while the martini glass was the top tweeted symbol  in Connecticut, according to discount travel site Hotwire.com.

Results are charted on a map of the US that plots the most popular travel and leisure-related emoji by state.

According to the map, the best places for leaf-peeping include Ohio, Rhode Island, Oklahoma and Nebraska, where leaves were among the top-tweeted emoji.
