MANILA, July 22 — If the ‘sea bunny’ slug that went viral last week didn’t have you seeing slugs in a whole new way, maybe this ‘leaf sheep’ slug will.

In yet another sign that cute creatures do inhabit the sea, this adorable slug looks just like a cartoon sheep, with its white head, beady eyes and feelers.

Costasiella kuroshimae, or ‘leaf sheep’ for short, is found near Japan, Indonesia and the Philippines.

It can grow up to 5mm in length, and is one of the only animals in the world that can perform photosynthesis, which is usually only carried out by single-celled organisms.
