NEW YORK, Aug 4 ― American designer 3.1 Phillip Lim’s collaboration with cosmetics brand Nars was released internationally this weekend.

Announced earlier this year, the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Nars collection includes nine shades that were inspired by “colours that exist in the shadows”, according to the brand, with a contrasting palette of jewel tones and neutrals, and a canvas pochette (€37, RM158) designed by Lim for Nars.

The two brands have been working together on nails over the past 14 seasons of runway shows, ever since the Fall 2007 collection.

The shades (all in a long-lasting formulation) include “Anarchy” (Angora), “Other Side” (bitter chocolate), “Hell-Bent” (lacquer red), “Wrong Turn” (graphite), “Gold Viper” (champagne), “Dark Room” (blue denim), “Shutter” (black sea green), “Crossroads (African violet) and finally “Insidious” (black bronze), which is exclusive to Nars boutiques.

Priced at €19, the lacquers went on sale in stores and online on August 1. Nars has previously collaborated with fashion labels Marc Jacobs and Thakoon on cosmetics capsules. ― AFP-Relaxnews
