NEW YORK, Feb 25 — Love chocolate lava cakes? Then you’ll surely want to try out this molten dulce de leche cake recipe.
This recipe is courtesy of YouTube channel Tasty and you’ll need these ingredients for this recipe that makes four servings: 1 2/3 cups dulce de leche, 1/2 cup melted butter, 2 egg yolks, 2 whole eggs, 1/4 cup flour and additional butter and flour to line the ramekins.
First mix the dulce de leche and melted butter in a medium bowl. In another bowl, mix the egg yolks and whole eggs. Once combined, mix in dulce de leche mixture.
Next, add in the flour a little at a time, to ensure everything is mixed evenly and the batter is smooth.
Line the ramekins with butter and flour. Be sure to pour out any excess flour from the ramekins. Divide the dulce de leche batter in each ramekin. Leave about 1/4 inches from the top.
Bake the cakes at 425˚F or 220˚C for 12 to 14 minutes. The cakes should be golden brown and should jiggle in the middle. The more you bake, the less molten the centre will be when you cut into it, so keep track of the baking time.
To serve, run a knife along the edges of the ramekin to loosen before inverting onto a plate. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream. Enjoy!
