NEW YORK, Oct 29 — How does fried chicken with breakfast waffles, eaten with syrup and butter, go together you ask? Well, we personally haven’t tried it but apparently something magical somehow happens when you pair the two together.
This soul food staple has origins in New York’s Harlem when jazz performers who’d missed out on dinner but didn’t quite want breakfast wanted the best of both worlds.
When done right, the combination of savoury chicken and sweet waffle means you don’t have to choose one over the other. BuzzFeed got a few people to take the chicken and waffle taste test to see if they agree to this unique combination.
