KUALA LUMPUR, April 7 — If you are thinking of buying a car in the near future, you might want to hold on to your money and wait for My Auto Fest which is going to take place from May 20th to May 22nd, 2016, at the Mines International Exhibition and Convention Centre by the Malaysian Automotive Association.
Confirmed participating automotive brands that will be showcasing vehicles, with more to come, are Proton, Honda, Toyota, Peugeot, Kia, Citroen, Nissan, Ford, Jaguar, Land Rover, Volvo, Subaru, and Daihatsu.
My Auto Fest is run on a ‘sales promotion’ platform, with the idea of putting many automotive brands in one place at the same time, so that the buyer can browse different options. As an additional draw, the automotive companies are expected to throw in special offers and ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ deals to make My Auto Fest a memorable event, and if this proves to be successful, we can expect more events like this to happen on a regular basis.
“The organising committee is aggressively promoting this event to encourage more MAA members as well as auto related and accessory companies to participate in this sales promotion platform,” said MAA president, Datuk Aishah Ahmad.
She added, “This event is a good opportunity for car companies to turbo-charge their sale campaigns leading up to the Hari Raya festive season.”
Datuk Aishah also said that negotiations are undergoing with several banks and insurance companies to seek their participation in My Auto Fest.
Entry to My Auto Fest is free of charge, and test drives of cars will be arranged in the immediate vicinity of the show.
The show is also about savouring a ‘Food Experience’, with food trucks standing by to serve food and drinks, in addition to which there will also be several activities lined up for children.
MAA is targeting a total of 75,000 visitors for the three day event.
