JANUARY 14 — The GMM Foundation extends its deepest sympathies and continuous prayers to the Indonesia and her people on the recent tragic attacks on Jakarta.

It is truly a sad day for Jakarta and the world over.

We duly take note on the fact that these extreme actions are getting closer and closer to home; hence it is imperative for us, as per the statement of the YAB Prime Minister, “to combat extremism wherever it may be.”

Those who have lost their lives in Jakarta, and previously Turkey, were innocent victims of a brutal terrorist network of attacks, and it is our utmost hope that the perpetrators of this heinous injustice be brought to justice.

Being a party to the Asean Community, GMM Foundation views seriously on the incidents that have taken place, thus extend its willing hands to organisations in Indonesia so as to help promote the values of moderation, tolerance and managing differences.

Our deepest sympathies once more to the citizens of Indonesia, its national security forces and all affected. May the hands of kindness prevail over the brutalities of man.

Thank you.
