Is it a year later already? The second outing for “Disney Infinity” focuses on its stable of Marvel characters, with The Avengers, Spider-Man and the Guardians of the Galaxy providing a triple focal point for this new line of figurines, video game storyline, and build-a-world sandbox mode. A standalone version is available for those that want the game but not the minifigs or physical Infinity Base that acts as conduit between game and figurine.

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter (PC)

First game from the studio set up by Adrian Chmielarz, creative director on “Bulletstorm” and “Gears of War: Judgement,” but this is more about supernatural powers than superweapons, as players explore the dark mysteries of Red Creek Valley in search of a missing boy. A PlayStation 4 version is to follow in 2015.
