KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 4 — A title drought continues to haunt Malaysian squash queen and world number three player Datuk Nicol David in the PSA World Tour.

She lost in the semifinals of the Wadi Degla Open Squash Championship held in Cairo, Egypt late yesterday (early today Malaysian time).

The Penangite who is also the top seed of the tournament, suffered a setback losing 11-9, 11-13, 7-11, 11-8 and 7-11 to her nemesis and world number four player Raneem El Welily of Egypt in the match held at Wadi Degla Club, according to the tournament website, www.wadideglaworldsquashchamps.com.

It was Nicol's third defeat to Raneem in all their meetings this season.

For the record, the eight-time World Champion lost to Raneem at the Women's PSA World Series Finals in Dubai, United Arab Emirates in May and also the United States Open in Philadelphia, United States last month.
