APRIL 9 — WWE wresting star James Hellwig, better known as The Ultimate Warrior, is dead at age 54, TMZ Sports has reported.
The cause of death of Hellwig whom TMZ described as ‘one of the most iconic wrestlers of all time’ is unclear.
According to TMZ, the news of Hellwig’s death has spread on social media. Triple H tweeted, “Saddened to announce the passing of the Ultimate Warrior. Icon and friend. My sympathy to his wife Dana and his daughters.”
Stephanie McMahon tweeted, “#RIPUltimateWarrior Your strength of character is to be admired. There will never be anyone like you. Your spirit lives on in your family.”
WWE has also posted a condolence message on its official website.
