LOS ANGELES, Dec 9 — There’s action, beach, daring rescues, and of course slow-motion running in the new extended trailer for the Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron-helmed reboot of Baywatch.
The trailer opens to the familiar strains of the TV show soundtrack from the 1990s, and a line-up of beautiful lifeguards running in slow motion before cutting to Johnson diving into the ocean which is on fire for a daring rescue mission.
In the big screen adaptation, Johnson plays Mitch Buchannon, who was played by David Hasselhoff, while Efron plays a new lifeguard recruit, Matt Brody.
The intrigue appears to revolves around a dead body, dried up lifeguarding funds, and the dynamic between Buchannon and the arrogant Brody.
The film also stars Priyanka Chopra, Alexandra Daddario and Kelly Rohrbach.
Baywatch opens in theaters May 26, 2017. — AFP-Relaxnews
