SYDNEY, Nov 27 — He was a big hit with the studio audiences — now Cyrus Villanueva is set to become a star in Australia after winning the country’s version of the X Factor.
The 19-year-old from New South Wales beat off competition from 31-year-old contestant Louise Adams to be crowned winner.
For the final, contestants could revisit a song they performed earlier in the competition
And Villanueva wowed judges when he chose to perform his mentor Chris Issac’s hit Wicked Game.
He takes away that all-important recording contract with Sony Music — and went onto perform the winner’s single, a song called Stone. — Reuters
