HOLLYWOOD, Nov 11 — Rookie Atlanta cop Ben Barber (Kevin Hart) and serious detective James Payton (Ice Cube) join forces, with varying degrees of enthusiasm, in order to close a Miami case before Barber’s wedding day.

But Payton is still far from being impressed by Barber’s approach to crime fighting, nor his successful proposal to Payton’s sister Angela.

Hart and Cube led the line for a record breaking January 2014 debut in buddy comedy “Ride Along,” and team up once more with director Tim Story for the 2016 sequel, with a January 15 debut set for US cinemas.

Bruce McGill and Tika Sumpter return as Lt. Brooks and Angela Payton respectively, with new roles for Benjamin Bratt (“Traffic,” “Private Practise”), Glen Powell (“Scream Queens”), Carlos Gómez (“The Glades”) and Nadine Velazquez (“My Name is Earl”).
