LOS ANGELES, July 24 — Ever since word got out that Henry Cavill might be playing a part in “Fifty Shades Darker”, fans have desperately trawling the Internet for some kind of straight answer.
Will he, won’t he? That’s the question that’s been tormenting fans for the last few months. Although it’s already been confirmed that both Jamie Dornan (Christian Grey) and Dakota Johnson (Ana Steele) will be returning for the second film, erotica fans the world over have been desperate to know if they’ll be joined by Superman himself.
If the rumours are true, then the British actor will play the role of Jack Hyde when Fifty Shades Darker is released in cinemas in 2017. A multibillionaire businessman and rival for young Ana’s affections, Hyde is clever, cunning and completely ruthless in getting what he wants.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Cavill was asked about the rumours to which he answered: “How I can make this interesting? I think it’s probably best that I say nothing for now.”
Well now, according to USA Today, Cavill tells us he was only joking about it. “I’m not in ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’. I’m for real. I’m just messing with everyone,” he was quoted as saying.
