LOS ANGELES, March 22 — Mandy Moore reveals she was “mortified” by Justin Timberlake as a teenager.
The singer-and-actress, who is now 30 years old, toured with Justin’s boyband NSYNC during the summer of 1999.
And Mandy suffered some extremely embarrassing moments during her travels with the beloved pop group.
“My favourite story is I’m 15 and I’m touring with this boyband at the height of their super stardom and we’re backstage…and we were talking about feet and [Justin Timberlake] walked up and pointed at my feet and said, ‘Girl you have big feet for a girl!’ And I was mortified,” she recalled Friday during an appearance Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family. “Because I was a little string bean just going through puberty with these big feet.”
However, Mandy found that summer quite magical in a lot of other ways.
The star couldn’t believe how fast she was catapulted into success at the time.
“I was 15 — [NSYNC] was the [ultimate] in terms of who you could tour with,” she noted. “I went from watching them on TRL…signing a record label to six months later I was on the road with them.”
Mandy split from her rocker husband Ryan Adams in January after five years of marriage.
And the newly single entertainer is now focused on completing a new album, after releasing her sixth studio LP Amanda Leigh in 2009.
“2014 [was] the year of actual progress,” she told CBS News previously of how work is progressing on her forthcoming offering. — Cover Media
