KOTA BARU, Sept 15 — The Prisons Department is eyeing sale of RM30 million worth of products made by inmates across the country this year.
Its director-general, Datuk Seri Zulkifli Omar said last year, the Prisons Department registered product sales of RM28.8 million.
“From January to August, we made sales of RM20 million. Based on this, we are confident of meeting the RM30 million sales target by year end,” he told reporters opening Infokraf at Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium here, yesterday.
Among the products on sale were furniture, handicraft, metal products, garments, food, vegetables and freshwater fish. — Bernama
