TELUK INTAN, May 31 — A total of 66.5 per cent or 39,850 of the 59,927 ordinary voters turned up to vote when polling closed at 35 polling centres for the Teluk Intan Parliamentary by-election at 5pm this evening.
Vote tallying will be conducted at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Abdul Rahman Talib at Jalan Changkat Jong here tonight and the results are expected to be announced as early as 9pm.
The by-election is a straight fight between Barisan Nasional candidate, Datuk Mah Siew Keong and DAP’s Dyana Sofya Mohd Daud. — Bernama
