PUTRAJAYA, May 14 — Terengganu Umno lawmakers led by their new leader Mentri Besar Datuk Razif Abdul Rahman have arrived at the Prime Minister's office here for the much anticipated pow-wow with Datuk Seri Najib Razak over the ongoing leadership crisis in the east coast state.
Razif arrived at around 11.30am in a black Mercedes Benz bearing the number plate TAR76 via one of the rear entrances to the closely-guarded building.
A flurry of black Mercedes cars bearing Terengganu license plates followed shortly after the mentri besar's arrival.
At the time of writing, it is unclear if Razif’s predecessor Datuk Seri Ahmad Said, and two other Umno lawmakers Ghazali Taib and Roslee Daud, were a part of the delegation at the prime minister’s office.
Ahmad and Ghazali both quit Umno on Monday, shortly after the former stepped down as mentri besar. Roslee’s resignation was announced in the morning yesterday but was “verbally” retracted later in the evening.
This morning, Razif insisted all three rogue lawmakers are still considered Umno members as the state has yet to formally receive or accept their resignation letters.
