KUALA LUMPUR, July 1 – Maybank’s new collective agreement (CA) with Maybank Security Guards Safety Association (KPPKMB) awards all fifty-three Maybank security guards with an average salary adjustment of 10 per cent.
The new CA also features a new allowance called the ‘Auxiliary Police Allowance’ whereby guards accredited as Auxiliary Police with ranks of Corporal, Sergeant and Inspector, will be entitled to an additional allowance of between RM100-RM300 per month, the bank said in a statement.
It will be effective for a three-year period until 2014.
Head of Group Human Capital Nora Manaf said with the CA finalised, Maybank has now concluded new agreements with all its three in house unions – Association of Maybank Class One Officers, Association of Maybank Executives and KPPKMB.
“We are happy to note that 85 per cent of our security guards are now accredited as Auxiliary Police following training at the Malaysia Police Training Centre in November 2012 and January this year,” she said.
She noted that laundry allowance, dental and optical, shift allowance, subsistence allowance, fire-arm allowance and uniforms are the other various allowance included in the increment.
KPPKMB President Nasir Goneng said the agreement would at least support and ease the cost of living for their members. – Bernama
