PETALING JAYA, May 20 — Shopee — where you can buy T-shirts and many things, but not vaccines.

The message was spelt out loud and clear by Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin yesterday while reminding Malaysians that the process of buying Covid-19 vaccines is nowhere near as easy as adding an item into your online shopping cart.

“This isn’t buying a T-shirt from Shopee. This is a vaccine, a highly regulated product,” he said.

And while it’s true that you won’t be able to buy a vaccine online, there’s a plethora of other exciting offers awaiting Malaysians in Shopee’s upcoming 6.6 Awesome Sale.
