LONDON, Dec 7 — If there is anyone who knows the power of social media, it would be Susanna Lau, better known as fashion blogger and influencer Susie Bubble of Style Bubble.
But little could she have predicted that social media would come to her rescue in such a dramatic way: By finding her boyfriend who had mysteriously vanished on his way to work.
It all began yesterday when Lau took to social media to ask for help locating her boyfriend of 10 years, Steve Salter.
The couple are expecting their first child together. Lau is currently eight months pregnant.
She wrote that she was “very, very worried” after Salter, a digital editor at iD, left for the office on Monday morning but never arrived.
Adding to her mounting concern that she called “completely uncharacteristic,” she couldn’t reach him because his phone had been switched off.
“I realise it has not been a long length of time to be missing but if you know Steve, him disappearing like this is completely uncharacteristic. I along with his family and friends are very VERY worried about him,” Lau wrote.

By yesterday evening, however, 12 hours after originally posting her Instagram, Lau updated to indicate that Salter had been found “after much searching” at a hospital emergency room. She did not disclose details of his condition or how he had been found.
She did express her gratitude to her almost 280,000 followers on Twitter and 316,000 followers on Instagram.
She wrote, in part: “I can't thank you and love you all enough and I've been overwhelmed (in a good way) by how the power of social media sped up the process.”
Didn't get to say in last tweet but wanna massively thank all smart sleuthers, kind journos & rapid fire RTers for their help and support

British-born Lau helms one of the world’s most influential fashion blogs, Style Bubble.
She started to blog as a creative outlet, but was then headhunted for the fashion magazine Dazed and Confused to become their online commissioning editor.
