LOS ANGELES, July 18 — The FBI sure has a nose for justice according to The Boston Globe who revealed the intelligence service solved crimes using a strange form of investigation: Investifarting.
Twitter has always been riddled with typos, but one hysterical error tweeted by the Boston Globe yesterday caused such a stink, it’s become a news story all its own.
Yesterday evening, someone tweeted to the paper’s 400,000 followers: “Ed Reinhold, FBI, says FBI has investifarted about 70 leads already.” The newspaper was live-tweeting FBI statements on the horrific shooting in Chattanooga, Tennessee, when the blunder slipped out.
Even better, the Globe left the brilliant tweet on its timeline, stating it is their policy “not delete typographical errors on Twitter”.
So just what does one do during and after they've been investifarted? That's what a lot of folks are wondering about because it has been trending on Twitter. Check out some of the epic responses below:
As policy we does not delete typographical errors on Twitter, but do correct #investifarted https://t.co/lT5Bz7WP6f https://t.co/x4UGGA3RSE

The FBI is off to a good fart, but sulfur they haven't found any connections. Time to stop methane around and step on the gas! @BostonGlobe
