NEW YORK, Sept 28 — Burger chain Five Guys has announced major expansion plans that will see the brand open restaurants across Europe, the Middle East, Australia, Japan and South Korea.
After making their first foray into the international market three years ago with a single location in London, the chain has expanded rapidly, opening a new restaurant in Paris this summer and adding 50 more locations throughout the UK over the last three years.
Other international markets also include Ireland, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

Over the next five years, the brand — which famously counts US president Barack Obama among its fans — plans to increase their presence in 28 countries.
The company is heading out to Asia next month to look for potential partners.
Five Guys is the latest mid-sized US burger chain looking to conquer the international market.
Shake Shack, another cult favourite among burger lovers in the US, opened its first restaurant in Seoul, South Korea this summer drawing a crowd of more than 1,500 people to the opening.
Other international locations include Japan, Russia, the Middle East, Turkey and the UK. — AFP-Relaxnews
