KUALA LUMPUR, June 24 —After hunting down Terminators, Linda Hamilton is taking an extraterrestrial trip down to Hawkins, Indiana.
The Terminator star confirmed at a recent Netflix Global Fan Event TUDUM in Brazil that she will be joining the cast of the final season of Netflix’s hit show Stranger Things.
Her casting announcement was even introduced by ‘The Terminator’ himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger.
“I’m excited that I can announce that my old friend, a fantastic actress, a badass is joining the Netflix family in one of my favourite shows,” Schwarzenegger said.
Hamilton then appeared in a video, conveying her excitement to join the sci-fi series.
“I don’t know how to be a fan girl and an actress at the same time, I’m gonna work on that,” the actress shared.
“So, good to see you, Arnold. I’ll have dinner with you soon. And everyone else, I’ll see you in Hawkins.”
Further information about Hamilton’s character in the show remains unknown as of now.
Hamilton, 66, is most famous for playing Sarah Connor in The Terminator film series.
She also starred in 80s horror flicks like Children of the Corn and Dante’s Peak of which Stranger Things showrunners Matt and Ross Duffer took inspiration.
Production on season five of Stranger Things is currently on hold due to the ongoing writer's strike in Hollywood.
