LONDON, Jan 31 — The British Summer Time Hyde Park festival has announced that US legend Paul Simon will headline the final show of its 2018 edition.

The singer-songwriter will perform on Sunday, July 15, joined by special guests — and legends themselves — James Taylor & His All-Star Band and Bonnie Raitt, with additional performers of the day still to be announced.

Paul Simon’s show is called “Homeward Bound: The Farewell Performance”, the first part a reference to the title of a 1966 song Simon wrote and first sung as part of the duo Simon & Garfunkel. While no further details were provided about the second half of the title, it suggests the live show may be the 76-year-old performer’s last.

The artist joins a line-up for the festival that also includes headliners Roger Waters, Bruno Mars, Eric Clapton, Michael Bublé and The Cure, each — in the tradition of the festival — headlining a single day of the festival, with other performers to appear during the day in the lead-up to the top-billed set.
