LOS ANGELES, April 20 — The team at Screen Junkies are back with another Honest Trailer and this time they focus on an old classic, Bryan Singer’s 2006 Superman Returns.
If you’re asking why the sudden throwback to an old movie by the team, it’s because of Batman vs Superman Honest Trailer battle they had to celebrate the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
The Man of Steel clearly emerged the winner which is why Screen Junkies team turned its attention to Superman Returns skewering the film for its impossible attempt at being an homage, sequel, remake and reboot.
The voiceover is quick to note this: “Don’t let the action fool you, watch as the sleepy remake gets bogged down with tons of boring stuff”. The Honest Trailer then goes on to point out that the film that took everything we loved from the older movies and did the exact same.
