LOS ANGELES, Sept 26 — ‘Big Bang Theory’ star Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting and husband Ryan Sweeting have decided to get a divorce after nearly two years of marriage, according to People.
“Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting have mutually decided to end their marriage,” the star’s rep told People magazine.
“They ask for privacy at this time. No further statement will be issued regarding this matter,” the rep added.
Just a week before the split, Cuoco appeared on ‘Watch What Happens Live’ and spoke about how well her husband got along with her ex-boyfriend, ‘Big Bang Theory’ co-star Johnny Galecki.
“Well, we dated like 5 years ago, so I think we've both moved on,” she said, referring to Galecki, who plays Leonard on the hit show.
“And Johnny's actually one of my best friends. It's a situation that ended well.
“And he's one of my dearest friends and Ryan loves him,” she added of the 40-year-old actor. “I got lucky.”
Since the announcement of their split, Cuoco has removed all social media posts related to Sweeting and stopped following him on her various social media accounts, according to US Weekly.
Sweeting, on the other hand, cleaned out his entire Instagram account, including followers, and disabled his Facebook page.
The 29-year-old actress and her tennis player husband, 28, tied the knot on December 31 after three months of dating.
The couple has previously battled rumours that their marriage was on the rocks, with Cuoco posting on Instagram to deny the rumours.
“I have never been more proud of anyone on this planet — this guy is fighting back from a whirlwind of injuries and not to mention constant 'conversation' regarding our marriage and basically any daily decision we decide to make,” she wrote in a post in April, which has since been taken down.
