LONDON, Aug 1 — For one night only, concertos were replaced with classic 90s dance anthems and lasers at the BBC Proms on Thursday.
British DJ Pete Tong took charge of proceedings at the Royal Albert Hall and with the help of the Heritage Orchestra, played a selection of euphoric classics, kicking off with Fatboy Slim’s “Right Here, Right Now” that’ll take old-school ravers straight back to the dancefloors of Ibiza.
Other tracks included ATB's “9pm (Till I Come)”, The Shapeshifters' “Lola's Theme”, Robert Miles’ “Children” and an epic rendition of iconic house anthem “Insomnia” by Faithless. Cue a serious case of goosebumps and neck tingles.
Who knew BBC Proms would make you want to dust off your glowstick and whistle?
