LOS ANGELES, May 12 — Horror and sci-fi are among the top themes in the American network’s 2015-2016 line-up, which was revealed to the press yesterday.

“Minority Report,” adapted from the Steven Spielberg movie, and “Scream Queens,” from Ryan Murphy, will be among the newcomers this fall, while “The X-Files”, “Lucifer” and “The Frankenstein Code” will debut in early 2016.

Creepy creatures, murderers and paranormal phenomena are on their way to Fox. The network will head into fall with “Minority Report”, an adaptation set 10 years after the feature, which starred Tom Cruise.

Announced earlier, Ryan Murphy’s new anthology series “Scream Queens” will also launch this fall, along with “Rosewood”, a procedural on a brilliant Miami-based pathologist who uses sophisticated technology to crack tough cases.

John Stamos and Rob Lowe will each star in his own new series on Fox this season.

The “Full House” and “ER” alum will play a suave ladies’ man who is set in his bachelor ways.

His life changes when he discovers he’s not only a father, but a grandfather too.

Lowe, who is also on the cast of NBC’s new series “You, Me and the End of the World”, will star in the new comedy “The Grinder”.

The “Parks and Recreation” alum will play a TV attorney who returns to his small hometown to take over the family law firm.

In a highly anticipated revival, “X-Files” fans will be reunited with Agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) on January 24, 2016 in the first of six new episodes.

Also scheduled for a mid-season launch, “Lucifer” hails from “Californication” creator Tom Kapinos.

Adapted from the comic of the same name, the series centers on the devil and his new life in Los Angeles, where he helps the local police to punish criminals.

“The Frankenstein Code”, a reimagining of Mary Shelley’s famous legend, will bow in the mid-season as well. In this action drama, a corrupt police officer gets a second chance at life when he is brought back from the dead by twin tech-industry billionaires.

All of these newcomers, along with the comedy “The Guide to Surviving Life”, will debut alongside the returning series “Gotham”, “New Girl”, “Bones”, “Empire”, “Sleepy Hollow”, “The Simpsons”, “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”, “Family Guy” and “The Last Man on Empire”.

On the other hand, Fox chose not to renew “The Following”, “Battle Creek”, “Stalker”, and “The McCarthys”. — AFP-Relaxnews
