KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 16 — PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli yesterday reportedly claimed that his company Invoke Solutions Sdn Bhd was raided by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

He questioned the action taken against him, telling the crowd at the Ceramah Mega Ayuh Malaysia, Kita Boleh in Wangsa Maju that the MACC did not investigate his exposés of the littoral combat ship (LCS) scandal and a flood mitigation project worth RM2 billion even though he had proof, according to a report by Berita Harian.

“Today, while I was campaigning, the MACC came to my office and held my people for seven hours. But when I talk about an RM2 billion scandal, they don’t investigate that.

“I talked about the LCS scandal and provided evidence relating to (former deputy defence minister Datuk Dr Abdul) Latiff Ahmad, showed RM200 million going into his fake company, but they didn’t investigate that,” the former Pandan MP was quoted as saying.

He reportedly added that not a single cent in his company had come from the rakyat’s money, but was instead fully funded by himself and his investors.

“This (MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri) Azam Baki, he sent his officers to raid (Invoke Solutions). I was being harassed until 9pm just now,” he was quoted as saying.

Besides that, Rafizi reportedly said that he will continue to expose the flood mitigation project scandal at Sungai Langat 2, which he claims involves caretaker environment and water minister Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man.

He also reportedly said that he has evidence showing that the project was approved after the dissolution of Parliament in a clear violation of election rules.

“I want to see what Azam Baki and the MACC will say in answer to this. Tuan Ibrahim thinks I have only one or two documents.

“But usually, if I have something to expose, I can keep going on for months,” he was quoted as saying.

Last Friday, Rafizi shared with the media what appeared to be an official letter addressed to the chief secretary of the Environment and Water Ministry, which stated that a company had been approved via direct negotiation for a flood mitigation project at Sungai Langat.

The letter was dated October 7, which was the day Budget 2023 was tabled in Parliament, and also one working day before the dissolution of Parliament was announced on October 10.

However, despite his allegations, Rafizi said he won’t be reporting the matter to MACC as he did not trust its current leadership.

“Even though Tuan Ibrahim has challenged me to make an MACC report, I hope he can be patient because an MACC report will definitely be made if Pakatan Harapan forms the federal government soon,” he said.
