KOTA KINABALU, May 18 ― Amid absence of Sabah ministers in the federal Cabinet announced so far, a Parti Warisan Sabah spokesman has urged the public to remain calm as the full Cabinet has yet to be announced.
The source said Warisan president Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal was confident that at least one Sabahan minister will be named out of the six that the party is submitting.
“Wait for the full list first. Datuk Shafie has said he is meeting the Prime Minister soon to elaborate on why Sabahans can do the job,” the spokesman told Malay Mail.
On Wednesday, Shafie said he had submitted six names from the party including Warisan deputy president Darell Leiking, Silam MP Datuk Mohamaddin Ketapi, Batu Sapi MP Datuk VK Liew, Kalabakan MP Ma’mun Sulaiman and Papar MP Ahmad Hassan.
Earlier today, Tun Dr Mahathir revealed several more Cabinet ministers to make a 14-member Cabinet but several ministries such as tourism as well as international trade and industries were not yet named.
